
Zeppole
Description
Zeppole are an Italian pastry and are basically fried doughnut balls made out of Cream Puff dough. They are very popular during St. Josephs Day in Italy which is also Italian Father’s Day. These fried pastries are traditionally served at Italian carnivals or festivals in simple paper bags, dusted with powdered sugar.

Equipment needed : Parchment lined baking sheets
In a saucepan, combine water, butter, and salt. Bring to a boil.
Remove from heat, and stir in the flour until the mixture forms a ball.
Beat in the eggs one at a time until the dough is smooth.
Heat the vegetable oil in a deep fryer or large, deep saucepan.
Drop spoonfuls of dough into the hot oil and fry until golden brown. Drain on paper towels.
Dust with confectioners' sugar and serve warm.
