- Equipment needed : Large pot for boiling fettuccine
- Cook the fettuccine in boiling salted water until al dente. Drain and keep some pasta water.
- In a saucepan, heat the heavy cream and butter over medium heat until the butter melts.
- Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese until the sauce is creamy and smooth.
- Season with salt, white pepper, and a pinch of freshly grated nutmeg, if desired.
- Toss the cooked fettuccine in the Alfredo sauce, adding pasta water as needed to reach your desired consistency.
- Serve with additional Parmesan on top.
